About Us
We are currently located in Cainta, Rizal, Philippines. We derive its name from "Emmaus", inspired by Luke 24:13-35, where Jesus, on the road to Emmaus, reveals to two disciples how the writings of Moses and the prophets foretold the Messiah's suffering before entering His glory. In this same spirit, our desire at ERBC is for Christ to be magnified through our preaching, whether from the New or Old Testament.
ERBC has about 36 active members and is led by Pastor Joseph Mangahas, a graduate of Grace Ministerial Academy (GMA). As one of the Reformed Baptist churches in the Philippines, we uphold the teachings of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. To learn more about our beliefs, read the next section.
Statement of Faith
We uphold the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. We believe that the Holy Scripture (the Bible) is the sole, sufficient, and infallible rule for all saving knowledge.
We believe that all people are sinners, both inherently and experientially because of Adam's disobedience and can be saved only by God's grace, through repentance and faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Salvation is a gift from God, given to repentant sinners for the glory of the Triune God's name.
